Popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has been receiving backlash and criticism on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). She was accused of arresting a user named Ayo over damaging comments he made about her online. The award-winning actress claimed that Ayo's comments were bullying and defamatory, and that he lied about her arresting his mother.


However, the incident has sparked outrage on X, with many users criticizing Toyin for allegedly abusing her power and connections to silence Ayo. Some users, like @AjeboDanny, have called for Ayo's release, stating that Toyin's actions are bullying and go against the principles of free speech that X (Twitter) was founded upon. The hashtag #FreeAyo has been trending in support of Ayo."
